Nigerian Police Force Screening Date: the Nigerian police force is an important body in the country, as they enforce the law, maintain law and order, protect the civilians, and defend the state from internal crisis; work in units in all the states in Nigeria.

Nigerian Police Force Screening Date

The Nigerian Police Force has started recruiting constables for the 2022/2023 section. This year, they aim at recruiting 10,000 constables. Sequel to that, dates have been set for different stages of the screening exercise.

This screening exercise is for all candidates who took the computer-based test (C B T), qualified, and are shortlisted for the next stage of this recruitment.

The police force’s spokesman, Mr. Frank Mba, announce that the physical screening exercise is a continuation of the ongoing recruitment. He beckons on all candidates successful from the online recruitment registration, to start preparing for their physical screening.

The screening exercise which is to hold from 1st to 20th February, 24th August to 6th September, and Monday 18th October to Tuesday 26th October 2022, are to be taken seriously in terms of attendance.

The computer-based test starts from Tuesday, February 1st till Sunday, February 20th; physical and documents screening starts from  Wednesday 24th August till Tuesday 6th September; and finally the physical and credential screening will hold from Monday 18th October till Tuesday 26th October, all in this year 2022.

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohamed Adamu, assures that the process which is completely free will be fair and accountable.

He admonishes every applicant to be wary of internet fraudsters as they might use this as an opportunity to try and deceive some people into sending them money. However, he promises that anyone caught in the act will be arrested and prosecuted according to the law!

Furthermore, the force spokesman, Mr. Mba emphasizes on the screening and other activities concerning the recruitment exercise will be in strict compliance with the COVID-19 prevention measures/protocols.

Requirements for the Nigerian Police Force 2022 Screening

As a body that enforces the law and maintains order in society, the standard for recruitment into the Nigerian Police Force is very strict and high.

Applicants who are successful in the last phase of the recruitment exercise must meet the necessary conditions in order to participate in the physical screening exercises. The following are the necessary requirements for participating in the next phase (physical) of the screening exercise:

  • A valid means of identification. This can be in form of a valid national identity card, a valid driver’s license, a valid voter’s card, a national identity number, or an international passport.
  • A duly signed guarantors form/letter
  • A valid certificate of origin, birth certificate, or affidavit of age declaration.
  • Two copies of recently taken passport photographs.
  • A school certificate can be an O’ level certificate or any other with proof of authenticity.
  • Print out the application from the application portal.
  • Original and duplicate copies of all credentials above.

Moreover, due to the duration of the physical screening exercises which will take place in different parts of the country, the candidates feeding and housing will be taken care of by the police recruitment committee. However, candidates are to come with some items that they will be making use of during their stay, for personal and environmental hygiene.

These items include:

  • White bed sheets, two (2) sets;
  • A neat mosquito net;
  • Neat white round-neck vests, two (2) sets;
  • Two (2) pairs of white-colored canvas;
  • Neat white pillow case, two (2) sets;
  • Two (2) pairs of neat white socks;
  • Neatly uniformed sports wears or club jerseys;
  • A broomstick;
  • A complete set of cutlery;
  • A cutlass/machete;
  • A small bucket;
  • Two neat toothbrushes;
  • Two neat face masks;
  • A bath sponge and a soap dish.

It is mandatory that candidates come with these necessary items. Failure to comply will be an act of disobedience on your part. Also note that the COVID-19 prevention protocols such as social distancing, constant use of face masks, and personal and environmental hygiene will be put in place. All candidates are to be of good conduct.

Screening Centers for 2022/2023 Nigerian Police Force Recruitment Exercise

It is instinctive at this point, for every candidate to have an idea of where the venue of the screening exercise will be. The police recruitment screening exercise will hold at certain locations all over the country. Candidates are to be punctual at these screening centers to avoid disqualification.

Late coming is liable to disqualification.

The screening will take place in centers in the following states:

Ondo, Osun, Oyo,
Plateau, Rivers, Sokoto,
Taraba, Yobe, Zamfara, and Abuja.

Candidates who are successful will receive email notification of the screening center for their is important that you appear at your screening center on time.

Failure to be punctual will lead to disqualification. You will receive your posting via your registered email. Therefore, it is advisable that you check your email from time to time so as not to be taken unawares.
